ActiveYards Roofing: The San Antonio Owner’s Guide
We stock and install ActiveYards-compatible roofing parts across San Antonio, with most replacements running $600 – $2,500 installed depending on panel count and damage extent. Most owners discover a failing part the same way: a leak shows up near a seam, or a windstorm leaves a panel rattling in the night. The fix is almost always swifter than the worry, and we carry common ActiveYards profiles on the truck for a same-day quote in most San Antonio neighborhoods.
Which ActiveYards Models This Applies To
ActiveYards roofing components appear across their patio cover and pergola lines, including the Fairfield, Hartford, and Riviera series. The compatibility gotcha most owners hit: the panel rib spacing and seam profile differ between series even when the overall width looks identical. A Fairfield panel will not seat correctly on a Hartford rail. Before calling, check the underside of any removed panel or the upright post for a small white label with the series name and manufacture date. If the label has faded from San Antonio sun, we can identify the profile from a photo of the panel’s cross-section and measure the rib spacing on site. For most ActiveYards parts, we recommend OEM where it is still produced. For panels discontinued after a series refresh, we source quality aftermarket aluminum with the same gauge and coating spec, and we will tell you plainly which one you are getting and why.
Styles & brands we work with

Signs Your ActiveYards Roofing Is Failing
- Water dripping at panel seams. The foam gasket between panels degrades from San Antonio heat and UV exposure, usually after 8 – 12 years. The panel itself is often fine; the gasket is the failure point.
- Panels lifting or rattling in wind. The clip that anchors each panel to the rafter has either loosened or fractured. This is common after a strong spring storm, especially on homes in open exposure areas like Stone Oak or Alamo Ranch.
- Visible rust staining at screw points. The factory-applied coating has been compromised where the fastener meets the panel. Left unaddressed, the hole enlarges and water enters.
- Sagging or bowing between rafters. This often means the panel gauge was underspecified for the rafter span, or a heavier hail load bent the aluminum. It will not straighten back on its own.
- White chalky residue on your hands after touching the panel. The paint finish is oxidizing. It still sheds some water, but the protective topcoat is gone and the panel is on borrowed time.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
For roofing repair in San Antonio, expect $400 – $1,800 for panel, gasket, or clip replacement on an ActiveYards structure. A full panel replacement across a larger cover lands between $800 and $2,500 installed. What moves the number: series availability, how many panels failed, whether we are replacing the top sheet only or rails and end caps too, and roof pitch access. Every quote includes the parts, labor, removal of the failed material, and a written line-item price before we touch anything. The Cedarwell Care Promise applies on every job: shoe covers and drop cloths on the path through your home, a photo of the clean-up before we leave, and pet-safe product choices where there is a choice to make.
DIY or Call Us?
An owner can safely check a few things: whether the panel label is still legible, where the water is pooling, and whether any exposed screw heads look rusted. What we do not recommend is loosening or removing ActiveYards panels on a ladder. These are aluminum sheets under tension from the clips, and a gust of San Antonio wind while you have one hand on the panel and one foot on the rung turns a simple swap into a fall risk. The seam gaskets also have a directional orientation; installing one backward guarantees a leak that costs more to find than the gasket itself would have cost to replace. If the panel is cracked, bowing, or the leaks are at the seams rather than at the edge, give Graham and the crew a call at (432) 233-0976. We will tell you over the phone whether it needs a full replacement or a gasket-level fix, and if we cannot tell from photos, the estimate visit is free.
FAQs

ActiveYards aluminum roofing typically lasts 15 – 20 years in San Antonio conditions, but the foam gaskets at seams usually need replacement every 8 – 12 years because our heat and UV exposure harden foam faster than in milder climates. The panels themselves often outlast the gaskets, which is why a “roof failure” is sometimes just a $400 gasket job, not a full replacement. Call (432) 233-0976 and we will tell you which one you are looking at.
Small dents and superficial scratches can be left alone or touched up, but a cracked panel, a panel with an enlarged screw hole, or one that is bowing between rafters should be replaced rather than patched. Patching an aluminum panel under tension rarely holds through a San Antonio storm season, and the labor to do it well costs nearly as much as a clean replacement. We will show you the difference in writing before any work starts.
A gasket or clip replacement on one ActiveYards panel takes about 1 – 2 hours on site. A full multi-panel replacement is typically done in a single day. We schedule around school hours and nap times where we can, and we bring quiet tools when children are home.
We keep common ActiveYards-compatible gaskets, clips, and fasteners stocked on the truck for Fairfield, Hartford, and Riviera series covers. Full panels and rails are ordered by series and size after we confirm the profile, which usually takes 3 – 5 business days in San Antonio. We also stock parts for KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone on the finishing side of our business, so the same crew that fixes your cover can handle interior work if it ever comes up.
If your ActiveYards roof is leaking, rattling, or sagging, call (432) 233-0976 for a free estimate. We will name the part, write the price down, and leave your house cleaner than we found it. Write it down, price it once, do it right.
