Blanco Bathroom Remodeling: The San Antonio Owner’s Guide

A Blanco bathroom remodel in San Antonio typically runs $9,000 to $28,000 installed, depending on whether you’re refreshing a guest bath or reworking a primary suite down to the studs. We stock Blanco-compatible fixtures and hardware on our trucks, and we carry OEM and quality aftermarket parts so you’re never waiting on a backorder from a supplier halfway across the country. Most homeowners discover they need us after a slow leak shows up under the vanity, a shower valve starts dripping at 3 a.m., or a Blanco basin’s finish has gone dull from years of San Antonio’s hard water.

Graham Stein, Owner at Elmstead Remodeling San Antonio, writes every scope of work down before a single tool leaves the truck. That matters when you’re replacing a Blanco part, because the written price you sign is the price you pay. No line items added after demo day.

Which Blanco Models This Applies To

Blanco makes bathroom fixtures across several distinct lines, and the part numbers are not interchangeable between them. The Blanco clean-flush rimless toilets, for example, use a different flush valve assembly than the Classic series, and mixing them up leads to a toilet that runs constantly or won’t fully clear the bowl. Blanco’s shower valve cartridges changed thread pitch around 2019, so a cartridge that fits a 2016 Blanco shower valve will not seat correctly in a 2021 model. If you can read the model number off the underside of the basin or the back of the valve body, we can match it exactly. If the label has worn off, we measure the stem height and spline count before ordering anything.

For Blanco specifically, our recommendation runs like this: OEM parts for anything that touches water flow, because a slightly-off aftermarket cartridge can create a drip that will drive you crazy. For trim pieces, escutcheons, and basin pop-up assemblies, a quality aftermarket equivalent from a trusted brass house is usually half the price and fits cleanly. We also work with KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone for surrounding surfaces, so if a Blanco basin replacement opens up a countertop question, we handle that in the same visit.

Signs Your Blanco Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing

  • A slow drip from the tub spout or showerhead. This is usually a worn Blanco cartridge seat or a deteriorating O-ring. It will not fix itself, and every drip is water you’re paying for on your SAWS bill.
  • Water staining on the ceiling below a second-floor bathroom. This is often a failed wax ring on a Blanco toilet or a loose supply connection at the Blanco stop valve. The staining you see is rarely where the leak actually is.
  • Blanco drain stopper won’t hold water, or won’t release it. The pop-up linkage inside the drain body has slipped or corroded. Blanco’s brass pop-up assemblies are serviceable, but the plastic internals on some entry-level models crack after five or six years of San Antonio’s mineral-rich water.
  • Basin finish has gone chalky or dull. Hard water scale and years of abrasive cleaners have etched the surface. Blanco’s ceramic and porcelain basins resist staining well, but once the glaze is compromised, the only real fix is replacement.
  • Shower valve handle gets harder to turn over time. Mineral buildup inside the Blanco valve body is binding the cartridge. Left alone, the handle stem can snap, and then you’re replacing the entire valve, not just the cartridge.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A remodeled kitchen with a waterfall island and wood cabinets

A focused Blanco fixture or part replacement in San Antonio usually falls between $800 and $3,000 when the project is a single basin swap, a valve cartridge replacement, or a tub spout upgrade. A full Blanco bathroom remodel lands at $9,000 to $28,000, with the spread driven by whether we’re keeping the existing footprint or moving plumbing, and whether the Blanco pieces are entry-level or premium. Every estimate is written before work starts, and it names the Blanco part numbers we’re installing, the labor, and the disposal of the old fixtures.

Every project carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If something isn’t right after we’re finished, we make it right. No fine print, no re-quote, no waiting until next quarter.

DIY or Call Us?

If you’re comfortable under a sink, you can safely check the Blanco supply connections for visible drips, tighten a loose escutcheon, or clear hair from a pop-up drain. That’s owner-level maintenance and we’ll never talk you out of it. But when a Blanco valve needs a cartridge, the water to the house is off and you’re into brass fittings that can seize in San Antonio’s hard water. Cross-thread the valve body and you’re replacing the whole rough-in, which is a much bigger job. If you see water staining, hear water running with everything off, or have a Blanco valve that won’t shut fully, that’s our line. Call (432) 233-0976 and we’ll send a background-checked tech who knows the Blanco line by feel.
